Negotiation training for teams

Better outcomes through structure, not pressure. Your team learns to prepare and lead negotiations, in person in Bern and across Switzerland or online.

Jeremias Jurt trains teams in negotiation in Bern, across Switzerland and online: Harvard principles, tactical empathy, BATNA and reframing, with practical exercises. Day rate from CHF 3,200, half day from CHF 2,200.

Afterwards, your team can

  1. 1prepare a negotiation: set the goal, the interests and a clear alternative (BATNA)
  2. 2find out with targeted questions what the other side really needs (tactical empathy)
  3. 3reframe a stuck point and get the conversation moving again

Who it is for

For teams that negotiate with clients, partners, donors or suppliers, internally and externally. Typical are sales, purchasing and fundraising teams as well as leadership teams. Negotiations there often run on intuition, without a clear alternative and without a strategy. That costs money and relationships. I support individuals 1:1 ahead of important negotiations, CHF 300 per hour.

What you learn

Four tools that work without prior knowledge.

Harvard principles

You negotiate over interests instead of positions. If you ask why the other side wants something, you find solutions nobody had thought of before.

Tactical empathy

You understand your counterpart and show it, for example through targeted listening and mirroring back. That builds trust, and trust creates room to move.

A clear BATNA

BATNA means best alternative to a negotiated agreement. If you know your alternative, you negotiate more calmly, because you do not need every deal.

Reframing

You give a stuck situation a new frame, for example from price to value, and get the conversation moving again.

How the training works

Preliminary talk

In the free first conversation (30 minutes) we clarify goal, group and setting. Then we prepare the concrete negotiation situations of your team.

Training with exercises

The team practises in role plays on real negotiation situations from your daily work, so that what is practised can be applied directly.

Follow-up

You receive tailored materials with checklists for preparation, so that what was learned stays in everyday work.

The training takes a half day or a full day, in person in Bern, across Switzerland or online. Day rate from CHF 3,200, half day from CHF 2,200, tailored. Individual preliminary talks, preparation, follow-up and materials are always included. If negotiation skills should stay in the team, I support for longer, see mandates.

Questions about negotiation training

What does negotiation training cost?

The day rate starts at CHF 3,200 and a half day at CHF 2,200, depending on the client and the training. I state the exact price after the first conversation. Individual preliminary talks, preparation, follow-up and materials are always included.

How long does the training take?

A half day or a full day, in person or online. How much time makes sense for your group, we clarify in the free first conversation.

Where does the training take place?

In person in Bern and across Switzerland or online, in German or English. I am happy to come to your team.

How does a training differ from a mandate?

A training resolves a topic in one session. A mandate accompanies you over months so that negotiation skills stay in everyday work.

How large can the group be?

Both on site and online, the maximum is 12 people.

Which negotiation is coming up for you?

In a free first conversation (30 minutes) we clarify goal, group and setting.
