Impact in decisions · CEO Sparring
Which decision do you not want to make alone?
You bring the decision. I am your sparring partner: I bring questions that push back, my own experience and my network. In a first conversation we work out whether a single talk is enough or ongoing support would help more.
Jeremias Jurt is a sparring partner for CEOs, founders, managing directors and leaders who do not want to make a specific decision alone, across Switzerland and online. CHF 300 per hour, typically 3 hours per month for CHF 900, with no minimum term.
First conversation: 30 minutes, free of charge. After that CHF 300 per hour, no minimum term. Everything stays confidential.
For CEOs, founders, managing directors and leaders

The situation decides, not the title
You run a company, you founded one, or you carry responsibility as an experienced leader. I work with founders, managing directors and leaders who carry responsibility. The questions are the same everywhere: Where is this going, whom do you trust, and what will this decision cost you?
What CEOs talk to me about
Typical situations on a CEO’s desk, not tied to individual clients.
Pivot or keep going?
When the numbers and your gut disagree, it helps to have someone who takes both seriously.
Money is getting tight.
Which financing fits, what does it cost, and what happens if it does not come?
We see the company’s future differently.
When co-founders drift apart, you need someone who listens and does not take sides.
A key person has to go.
How do you part ways fairly without damaging the company?
The company is growing. Is your role growing with it?
From doer to leader: what stays with you, what needs to be handed over?
Who will lead the company one day?
Succession is a decision you should not postpone, but gladly do.
What you get out of it
A decision on firmer ground
Assumptions get challenged, alternatives are on the table. Whether you end up deciding differently or sticking to your plan, you know why.
Numbers that add up
You know the costs, risks and benefits of your options before you commit. In the end, a decision has to pay off.
Fewer detours
I have founded and led a company myself and supported many founding teams. Some dead ends I know from the inside.
Doors that open
My network reaches entrepreneurs and investors. If a conversation with the right person helps you, I make the introduction. I cannot promise deals, but I can promise access.
What is the difference between sparring, coaching and mentoring?
Sparring is not coaching, not mentoring and not a board. Coaching works on you, mentoring passes on experience, a board oversees from a distance, and a peer group exchanges on equal footing. Sparring is a counterpart for your specific decision: I ask questions, push back and bring experience and contacts.
It is not a fit if you already know everything and only want confirmation, if someone else should decide for you, or if there is no budget. Applause is available elsewhere.

Honest, fast and on your side
I question until the assumptions hold. I bring new perspectives, energy and, when needed, courage. I tell you what I think, even when it is uncomfortable. What you tell me stays with me. In the end a decision has to pay off, and time is the most important resource we have. I take the work seriously, not myself.
I know your side of the table
I co-founded Boum AG in 2021 and was its CEO on the business side until mid-2023. Since its founding, Boum AG has raised CHF 1.3 million in total (source: Startupticker), including a round of just under one million francs in December 2022. In mid-2023 I left the company and sold my shares.
At Bern University of Applied Sciences I am an expert in entrepreneurship, and I am a startup mentor. I have reviewed more than 100 startup ideas and heard more than 100 startup pitches and helped improve them, partly student projects. As a pitch trainer I worked for be-advanced AG and Aare Ventures, among others. On top of that come countless conversations with people before and after founding.
Format, term and price, stated openly
You start with one decision. It can grow into ongoing support, but it does not have to.
Format
As needed. We start in person, later online works too. For international clients everything runs online.
Between sessions
You can reach me between sessions.
Minimum term
None. Single or recurring, by the hour.
Price
CHF 300 per hour. As a frame I recommend 3 hours per month for CHF 900. Single sessions are billed by the hour. All prices at a glance.
Why not just a single conversation? After 30 minutes I only understand your situation in outline. Often it takes a longer exchange or a workshop to build real understanding. Otherwise it stays at platitudes. That is why longer support brings more. You can also book something very specific, for example presentation tips or a decision-making session.
Looking for something for a whole team? Then see Trainings & Workshops or Mandates.
How the first conversation works
1. You tell me briefly
Send me a few keywords about the decision on your mind, by email to jeremias@jurt-consulting.ch or via the form. No further preparation needed.
2. We talk for 30 minutes
Free of charge.
3. I tell you honestly what I see
Whether a single conversation is enough or ongoing support makes sense. And whether I am the right person for you at all.
4. You decide in your own time
A specific session, for example presentation tips or decision making, or longer support. No pressure.

Questions you may have
What does CEO sparring cost?
CHF 300 per hour. As a frame I recommend 3 hours per month for CHF 900. The 30 minute first conversation is free.
Do I have to commit long term?
No. There is no minimum term. In the first conversation we clarify whether a single decision is enough or ongoing support brings more.
How is sparring different from coaching or mentoring?
Coaching works on you, mentoring passes on experience. In sparring your specific decision is at the centre, and I push back when needed.
Is this also for my SME or for me as an experienced leader?
Yes. I work with founders, managing directors and leaders who carry responsibility. The questions about strategy, finances, team and role are the same everywhere. The situation counts, not the company size.
Is what I tell you confidential?
Yes. What you tell me stays with me.
Where does sparring take place, and can I reach you between sessions?
We start in person, then online works too. For international clients everything runs online. You can reach me between sessions.
Can you introduce me to people?
To entrepreneurs and investors, where it serves your decision. I open doors and make introductions. What comes of it is up to you and the other side.
Do you currently have room for sparring?
I only support as many people as I can give my full attention. Write to me briefly and I will tell you honestly whether and from when a place is free.
Which decision is on your mind right now?
Send me a few keywords. Then we see whether and how I can help.
